Teacher workspace

Teach it here.
Keep it growing at home.

Plan reading and maths for each group, capture your observations, and send families one simple practice pack. This workspace stays in this browser; export a backup to keep it or move devices.

Choose a teaching starting point. Children can revisit a lesson; use observations to decide when to move on.

A flexible five-day plan

Repeat or split days to fit your class. This is a planning routine, not a required pace.

1 · Introduce

Reading · 15 minutesModel the sounds. Blend the word bank together. Check a few words without prompts.

Maths · 15 minutesModel one worked example. Children explain it using objects or a drawing.

At home · 5–10 minutesShare the home link or pack. Practise known sounds and count real objects.

2 · Build

Reading · 15 minutesReview known sounds. Segment and spell three words. Correct by modelling, then try together.

Maths · 15 minutesUse the maths tools. Connect the objects, a drawing and the written calculation.

At home · 5–10 minutesRead the word bank. Repeat one maths example with household objects.

3 · Read and apply

Reading · 15 minutesRead the controlled passage. Discuss its meaning and vocabulary. Reread for smoothness.

Maths · 15 minutesTry the five-question adventure. Note which questions need hints or modelling.

At home · 5–10 minutesReread the passage. Ask your child to explain one maths answer.

4 · Respond

Reading · 15 minutesUse observations to choose extra blending, spelling or smooth rereading. Keep practice brief.

Maths · 15 minutesReteach the uncertain step in a small group. Offer another example to children ready to extend.

At home · 5–10 minutesRepeat the familiar passage or printable. Celebrate a specific improvement.

5 · Check and plan

Reading · 15 minutesListen individually without prompts. Check spelling and meaning. Record the next teaching step.

Maths · 15 minutesCheck a fresh example and ask for an explanation. Record model, practise or extend.

At home · 5–10 minutesTell families what to revisit next week. Keep a successful activity in the review mix.

For teachers

Share a maths activity and collect results

Share a five-question activity with your class. Pupils return a result code; add it here to see who could use support. This board is saved in this browser. Results are self-reported, not verified assessments.
